Increase Mercury Vapor Detection Range by 10X

Vapor dilution module extends detection range of J505 from nanograms to milligrams

How it works:

The new 10:1 dilution module for the J505 reduces the concentration of mercury vapor in the sample stream by a factor of ten, allowing for a much higher upper detection limit. Rather than the standard upper detection limit of 500 µg/m3, the new J505 dilution module lets you detect mercury vapor concentrations as high as 5000 µg/m3.

Why it is important:

The J505 10:1 dilution module is useful for situations in which the mercury vapor concentration in the area you are sampling will be higher than what your J505 can measure.

Common applications:

The dilution module for the J505 will be a valuable asset for environmental response teams performing inspections, investigations and remedial action. It would also be useful for monitoring mercury vapor in industrial hygiene situations and in or around landfills. Visit our application pages for more information about mercury detection for environmental agencies, first responders, industrial hygiene and mining.

For detailed instructions on how to use the dilution module you may access the user’s manual here. If you have any other questions or would like to speak with one of our application consultants, fill out our contact form or give us a call at (800) 528-7411.
