Upgrades and Retrofits
AMETEK Brookfield offer several upgrade and retrofit options that can be done on selected DV instruments.
Magnetic Spindle Conversions
Upgrade your threaded or EZ Lock coupling system on your DV instrument to a magnetic spindle coupling system, enhancing convenience and reducing wear and tear on equipment. Not available for Dial or DVE instruments.
Torque Range Changes
Change the torque range of your DV instrument - select any of the four standard torque ranges: LV, RV, HA, and HB.
Ball Bearing Suspension Retrofits
A more durable ball bearing suspension system can be purchased at the time of order as an option for new viscometers and rheometers and as a retrofit to existing instruments! This suspension replaces the traditional pivot point and jewel system and is designed for use in busy work areas where instruments experience exceptionally heavy use and/or have multiple operators. This retrofit is available for DV1/DV2T Viscometers, or DVNext/DV3T Rheometers, including Cone/Plate versions, in the torque ranges RV, HA, and HB. It is not available for instruments in the LV torque range.

In addition, many of these services can also be performed at your facility by our Onsite Technicians for an additional On-Site Service charge.
